Assist IT affilaiate or vendor for troubleshooting support of ESX Server ,VC Management Server and Virtual Machines..
Hosts backup configuration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

As the Oracle DBA, your daily tasks will consist of but not limited to:

Limited on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in support o=
f Production environments
Ensure that proper database backup, restore and archive capabilities an=
d procedures are established and periodically tested
Installations and upgrades of Oracle databases
Database monitoring and performance tuning
Work with Oracle Corporation as necessary to troubleshoot and resolve i=
ssues
Provide basic guidance and mentoring to developers on best practices for r=
esource intensive PL/SQLs and database related resources and how to adeq=
uately solve a business problem within a database schema
Guide and mentor on how to decipher the basics of a query plan, tune SQL q=
ueries within triggers, views, stored procedures, functions, expressions an=
d the other procedural based approaches offered by Oracle database
Responsible for setting and managing database privileges, roles and pro=
files
Identify where we should monitor, collect and alert on conditions of conce=
rn, basically ensuring that all business critical processes and jobs are co=
mpleting successfully while achieving a set of performance expectations in =
installation and configuration.
The DBA will be sought out for their technical Oracle expertise and is tac=
tful in handling internal customers ranging from development engineers to s=
enior management
Participate in consulting projects as the primary DBA from inception of th=
e project up and through deployment and production support phase of the pro=
ject
Position requires being able to conform to flexible working hours
Occasional extended work weeks required to meet project commitments

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years experience in Oracle 9i and/or 10g
Expertise in UNIX (Solaris)
SAN storage experience
Familiar with Oracle Application Server and its various components; HTT=
P Server, Portal, Web Cache, Forms
Knowledge of ETL tools
Defining, developing and managing scripts that enhance performance and =
reliability
Designing and managing Oracle objects, such as tables, indexes, stored =
procedures, partitions, snapshots and their logs
Extensive knowledge of performance tuning techniques and use of Statspa=
ck
Experience with design and deployment of Data warehouse architecture, d=
eminsion modeling and data management
Able to recommend disk space, RAM and CPU requirements related to an Or=
acle environment.
