We have a System Engineer position available:-
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Computer Science
1 2 years working experience in a Help/Service Desk Environment
1 -2 years working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Ex=
cel, Powerpoint & Access), PC hardware , MS Windows XP/Win2K,NT.
Familiar with network protocol and connectivity
Proficient in the Peregrine Service Centre Version 6 and above Ticketing =
Systems or any other similar Ticketing Systems
Responsibilities:
Provide 1st level support to regional customers in Software (Application =
& OS), hardware and network connectivity
Receiving calls, first line Customer liaison including telephone support =
to local end-users by following the standard guidelines and liaise with reg=
ional Service Desk Teams on country related IT matters
Making an initial assessment of requests, attempting to resolve them (e.g=
.. PC break/fix) or to refer them to someone who can, based on agreed servic=
e levels
Advice customers on general queries related to Information Systems & MS O=
ffice Systems
Diagnose / resolve problems through phone and remote assistance tools
Filing and documentation of all logged calls
Maintain and monitor termination / suspension of customer accounts
