Role: Business Analyst.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This role is for a Business Analyst whose prime focus will be delivering ne=
w functionality within the Client Technology group. Projects are usually e=
ither related to launching a new business/product or focused on meeting cli=
ent needs for enhanced functionality. These projects will be cross-functio=
nal and may involve many/all the product clusters within Prime Services des=
cribed above.
The responsibilities of the Business Analyst include:
o Scoping the project and Conducting the business analysis/requirements gat=
hering
o Identifying and involving the key stakeholders and resolving the issues r=
aised
o Liaising with the business and other support / IT departments to determin=
e priorities, identify solutions and manage delivery
o Some project management responsibilities may include developing the proje=
ct approach and project plan
o Ensuring communication within the project and to external stakeholders.
o Confirming that the requirements have been interpreted correctly prior to=
UAT testing.
The individual ideally will have worked in a service delivery role e.g. ana=
lysis or IT project management within an investment bank, where requirement=
s are not always clear but not withstanding that can apply a structured app=
roach to delivering a solution which meets the clients needs.
Required:
ANALYTICAL - 4-8 years overall
- Experience working as a Business Analyst for financial services group.
- Problem solving skills. Understands the software development process from=
requirements through to implementation
- Must be very analytical with strong product knowledge in Equities. Prefe=
rably prime brokerage, securities lending, FI areas
- Ability to understand the detail but also able to take a big picture appr=
oach
- Experience in hands-on IT Development (C++, C#, Java or .NET) would be a =
benefit
IT IMPLEMENTATIONS - 4-8 years overall
- Must have experience of full-scope IT implementations involving=
analysis, requirements, development, testing and rollout
PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION - 4-8 years overall
- Project management skills track record of delivery
- Good Presentation skills
- Extremely strong organizational skills
- Strong relationship skills. Good interpersonal, leadership and influencin=
g skills. Proactive, has drive and energy Solution orientated. Strong comm=
unications skills at all levels
- Ability to deal with continuous change
Required Skills-
Experiences with a leading consulting firm within financial services or an =
International investment bank - 5Years
Track record in delivering major projects especially projects delivered in =
an investment bank or similar institution - 8-10 Years
Strong knowledge of securities products and processing - 5 Years
Has been involved in managing change, Experience of dealing with senior man=
agement - 5years
Experience in achieving results in a project context using resources that d=
o not report directly to him/her(eg from clients, from other departments, e=
xternal suppliers) - 5years
Experienced in the field of Information Architecture designing user int=
erfaces and application flows, in line with the corporate standards, for a =
user friendly navigation and presentation of information - 3years
Experience in creating end user documentation, such as user manuals, help p=
ages, brochures etc.
Desired:
Experience working directly with Prime Brokerage technology a big plus. - 3=
+ years
Development Experience in hands-on IT Development (C++, C#, Java or .NET) w=
ould be a benefit - 3+ years
Graduate from good university with good honors degree.
