In your role of Software Distribution Service Lead you will have the
exciting task and be responsible for the Software Distribution
service establishment. spend at least 2 months in USA office to
learn the biz & know yr collegaues.

Main Responsibilities and Objectives in Software Distribution
service:
As a Software Distribution Service Lead, you will focus on:
Strategic
o Product Road Map
o Maintain and improve SW Distribution process
o Implement and maintain Best Practices
o Maintain and improve SMS Infrastructure
o Capacity Planning for all components of the SMS
Infrastructure
o Technical escalation point for issues related to the SW
Distribution Service
o Interface with other Service Delivery Areas
Tactical
o Maintain SMS Infrastructure health
DB Maintenance
Distribution points maintenance
Management points maintenance
Disaster recovery
o Capacity Planning
NW Traffic
DB Load
Disk space
Site server load mgmt
Distribution point load

A university degree or a diploma from a specialized school
Minimum of 5 years experience on SMS implementations
Technical Project Management skills
Experience with IT Infrastructure projects
Broad understandings of SMS 2003
Extensive SMS 2003 knowledge including SMS architecture and
design, site communication flow, good SMS server troubleshooting
skills, and understanding of data flow between and within SMS
sites. A working knowledge of packaging concepts and tools is
desirable.
Networking concepts and implementations (IP addresses,
subnets, WAN concepts, LAN concepts, etc)
Familiar with Microsoft Technology (SQL, AD, Windows Server
2003)
Strong verbal communication in English
Other areas that would be a “plus”;
o Participated in multinational/global project teams
o Working knowledge of SQL Server.
o Process orientation
o Experience with Enterprise implementations of Microsoft
Applications (SQL, AD, Exchange)
o Presentation/training skills
