1) Senior Project Manager / Project Manager
This position requires an individual with a broad range of project manage=
ment related skills and be able to lead, direct and manage limited resource=
s to accomplish project objectives on time, within budget and to client exp=
ectations using standard project management tools, techniques and methods. =
Provide direct client interface and ensure service excellence delivery.
Location: KL, Malaysia
Responsibilities: Plans, directs, and co-ordinates the team=
s activities to manage and implement project and/or interrelated projects f=
rom contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage.
Determines, monitors, and reviews all project economics to incl=
ude costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk.=
Leads the project team in determining client requirements and t=
ranslating requirements into operational plans.
Identifies and assembles the appropriate blend of resources to =
meet project needs and requirements; manages sub-contractors.
Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related t=
o the project.
Develops project control and reporting procedures and manages c=
hanges in operational plan.
Undertakes status review meetings among project team members an=
d clients.
Works with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, es=
timates, and schedules.
Coaches and advises team members to accomplish project goals, t=
o meet established schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues.
Proactively influences customers to apply project planning meth=
odologies.
Ensures adherence to legally binding requirements.
Controls project requirements, scope, and change management iss=
ues.
Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key project crite=
ria.
Installs appropriate automated systems for management of projec=
ts (where applicable).
Develops, proposes, and negotiates project proposals, quotation=
s, and add-ons to leadership and the client.
Analyses needs and recommends appropriate planning concepts and=
tools to be used for all facets of planning, scheduling, and tracking proj=
ects.
Analyses project progress/costs and facilitates the development=
of recommended alternatives.
Integrates and uses Project Management methodologies.
Creates communication plans, ensuring that appropriate informat=
ion is exchanged among key stakeholders.
Advises senior management on Project Management capability and =
risk.
Maintains awareness on emerging technologies and Project Manage=
ment techniques.
Other duties as assigned by the supervising manager.
Requirements:
Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent;
Minimum 10 years work experience in the information technology =
service industry with at least 4 years of substantial project management ex=
posure;
Strong working experience with small to large scale projects, p=
referably with clients of manufacturing industry;
Strong competency and experience in managing and motivating mul=
ti-disciplinary teams and the responsible team leaders;
Independent and able to work under pressure and tight schedule;
Very good communication and presentation skills, both written a=
nd oral;
Must be motivated and proactive with a strong customer and team=
focus;
Work experience in information technology services vendor organ=
ization is advantage;
Substantial knowledge and application experience with standard =
project management methodology;
Related qualifications and / or industry certification;
Proficiency in both spoken and written English is a must.
